A few of the big events are just impossible for me to capture with the camera. I would love to record them with an image, but these are the times I love to ponder in my heart. Guess that's why I get such mixed emotions with the girls growing up so fast! I'm so extremely thankful that they're both healthy and driven to learn and grow, and at the same time I hope they will know how special each moment has been along the way.
One of the highlights concerning Sydney is that she is crawling into my lap. She has done that for a while it seems, but as a sign of stress. Now she is just crawling into my lap, turning around and continuing to play - which I love! It's fun to share that close together time!
Sydney is also able to climb now! She can climb on top of anything within her reach - it's keeping me hopping!
Sydney is starting to stand on her own! She likes to hold my hands and stand up, usually with a small toy in her hand. She'll continue playing with the toy and let go of my hand - keeping her balance! It's fun to see her developing those skills that are going to make her as independent as she's wanting to be.
I've also been able to spend more time with McKinzie . Kinz has been so incredibly patient in sharing the spotlight with a sibling, but I have to admit that any one on one time with either of the girls is so precious to me! The other day I was able to take McKinzie swimming for a few hours and we had a blast! It was great getting to share time while doing something McKinzie really loves to do.
The other day I took the girls to an open gym time to play on the gymnastics mats and equipment. It was the perfect setting - lots of padding!! Sydney had a blast crawling, pulling up and playing with all the props and I had a chance to help McKinzie try out the bars, balance beams, rings and spring boards! Both girls played their hearts out - we had a great time. It's so fun to start doing activities that include each of their needs and interests.
