McKinzie was up until almost midnight last night! How did she know it was Christmas Eve? She had a great time waiting for Santa - giggling and talking. It made our night! Merry Christmas to all!
It was a full table at Thanksgiving - in Ohio! To keep McKinzie out of the crowded airports we made a roadtrip to remember. McK was a great traveler - she loved playing chase with Daddy at each reststop! At G & G Whiteman's house McKinzie got to soak up her Uncle Mike, Aunt Katie and cousins Silas, Lydia and Lizzie! She had a chance to experience the cold weather, maybe even seeing a few teeny weeny snowflakes! We loved the time with family and were so thankful for the chance to be together!
We're looking forward to McKinzie's first birthday on Friday, Nov 9! What a celebration of life! We're so thankful for our family and friends and all of the support you've given us this past year ~ it's been truely amazing!
McKinzie is now two feet tall and weighs 18lbs! She loves to glide around the house - walking while holding our hands. She pulls herself up on everything and transfers from object to object. Kinzie loves to laugh and babble and is a true joy! We're so humbled by the gift of each new day!
We've made way for a very mobile and curious McKinzie! She's on the go - crawling and pulling up on anything she can! Too busy to eat, she can't get enough of walking with the support of mom or dad's fingers. She loves to vocalize - calling for our attention to see what she' s just done or babbling in conversation. She's quite the giggler, just ask Uncle Chuck!
McKinzie received a great report from the developmental specialists today! She is meeting and exceeding her six month milestones and even reaching into the eighth month for fine and gross motor skills. This didn't surprise mom and dad - McK has been crawling, scooting, reaching, grabbing, sitting and playing like crazy!
This will be McK's last week at Little Gym until next summer. She had the best time, but we'll be using extra precautions again during this cold and flu season to give McK's lungs a chance to reach full capacity!
